This report also discusses the visit of two members of a Soviet CRIS System Team to the United States to study the USDA Current Research Information System and MAILS CAIN on-line System. The text includes details about the Agroelektrin information retrieval system developed jointly by the Central Agricultural Library in Moscow and the All-Union Institute on the Electrification of Agriculture. The system was introduced in 1968 and was implemented on a Minsk-22 second-generation computer. The book also contains information about the Agroinform system, conceived in 1971 and incorporating the national information centers of Bulgaria, Hungary, the German Democratic Republic, Cuba, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, and Czechoslovakia.
