I was born in Midland, a windy area in west Texas to a family of eight and I now have two children of my own and two grandchildren. I assisted in the community by volunteering for Meals On Wheels and cleaning homes of elders. At a young age, I was subjected to speech classes due to the way I spoke and as an adult, I eventually became a member of Toastmasters to help me better my way of speaking and being able to do so in public. After working at the local hospital for over 20 years as a Health Unit Coordinator, I was led to step out on faith and try something new. I eventually moved to Atlanta, Georgia where I wrote this book. My mother is the one that inspired me to write about my life because she was moved by the smallest things stating that everything was a gift from God. She was a loving, friendly and giving person. I loved one of her sayings and continue to use it today, “Who Wouldn’t Serve a Good God?”
