After teaching elementary school for 26 years, Susan R. Lawrence retired in 2007 to write and tell stories. Her previously published works include two family devotionals and Atonement for Emily Adams, a Christian contemporary novel. The Blue Marble is her first novel for young readers. Susan lives in a little house in the woods of Iowa with her husband and short-legged Lab, Molly. She has three children and seven beautiful and brilliant grandchildren who love to hear her stories.
