C. J. Rivers was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She moved to Austin for College and fell in love with the music and the atmosphere there. After graduation she lived a few years in Argentina and realized that this place looked like home for her thanks to one thing: The Cowboys. She started writing Cowboys stories for fun in order to have something to read her children good night. She gave the stories to her friend's kid and one day one of the mothers called to tell her that she though the main character of one story was kind of "hot". The following day she tumbled upon a cowboy romance story in her nearby store... That's when it all clicked! Since then, she has written more than 50 Cowboys romance stories and she is just starting to get them public.
