J. M. Long lived in the Pacific Northwest most of her life where she married and raised her family. She gained a passion for history while serving as a family history librarian for some 30 years. She enjoys public service and has been a den mother as well as camp counselor for youth. She loves reading, sports, the arts, gardening, writing, cooking, and family gatherings.
