Fifth we will look at the 12 Step Model as a philosophy and how it is utilized to treat addictions. Fifth, we will also examine the scriptural basis for its development. Sixth we will review Roman Catholic theology as a source of healing for the sufferer. Last, I will present a few case studies.

Kevin Stephenson is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and a Board Certified Chaplain. He has 12 years of experience in the mental health field and in chaplaincy. He has worked with patients in both inpatient and outpatient health care settings. He has earned a B.A in Political Science from Montclair State University; a Master of Divinity and Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Oral Roberts University. He is a Roman Catholic convert. Married with six children and six grandchildren.
