Brent Heinze obtained a master’s degree in clinical counseling and is a licensed professional counselor. His private counseling practice focuses on a variety of issues affecting gay men’s quality of life. He is also a therapist and program director for an innovative behavioral health nonprofit in Denver that provides holistic wellness services. He created a nonprofit called Perspective Shift that focuses on supporting gay men’s efforts in creating strong interpersonal relationships and making life changes. He strives to create an understanding of a world that can be confusing to many through professional insights as well as by discussing personal experiences and challenges. In addition to his counseling efforts, he is an avid musician and creates music with his band Probe 7 and well as being a long-time member of Christus & the Cosmonaughts. He also runs a nonprofit called Lokusdor Productions that creates nontraditional fundraising events including an annual fetish ball that benefits organizations providing services and advocacy for LGBTQ and sex-positive communities. He currently lives in Denver with his husband Todd.
