Written as a play, this is the story of Delphine Kunkel's life growing up in the Polish-American town of Hamtramck, Michigan in the first half of the 20th Century as seen through the celebrations of the many important events in her life: Weddings, Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation and Funeral. Set in both the church where these events occurred and then in the reception hall where the events were celebrated, Delphine and her family tell the novel story of growing up in this unique little city.

Biografía del autor:

Byron Babbish is the son of Delphine Kunkel, the star of the play. He put together this play on his memories of growing up with Delphine and listening to all stories she told about her life in Hamtramck. He filled in some of the gaps with some of his own experiences living in Hamtramck for four years with his bride Elaine after their marriage in 1978. He also wrote a biography of his father entitled Golf Madness: The Life Story of Bob Babbish.
