Gathering as an independent congregation of believers since 1976, Sovereign Grace Baptist Church established a Church Covenant from its very beginning.
This book contains SGBC’s Church Covenant, her doctrinal statement, as well as the Daily Bread Bible reading schedule from Robert Murray McCheyne and A Puritan Catechism from Charles Haddon Spurgeon. This resource has been available for members of SGBC, for new converts to Christ, as well as for those interested in becoming members. It is now made available to anyone who would enjoy a convenient tool for growth in grace and strength in faith, exalting Christ unto God’s glory alone.

Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Anniston, Alabama has been gathering as an independent congregation of believers since 1976, meeting then as Grace Baptist Church of Anniston, and holding to the Biblical and historical truths of the doctrines of God’s sovereign grace. We believe that we are a great Baptist church, not because we are great (we are not), but because we serve a great Savior, Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
In our worship, we endeavor to emphasize proclaiming Christ crucified and teaching the doctrines of grace, while standing upon the Word of God as our sole authority. We believe in the centrality and supremacy of Christ’s gospel in all matters of this present life, as well as the life which is to come, according to the truth revealed to us in the written Word of God. Therefore, we desire to encourage one another in love unto good works for God’s glory.
