Ruth Guillard and her family have lived on Burnham Cove by the Damariscotta River for thirty-five years. She has taught the Transcendental Meditation technique since 1974. Earlier, Guillard had a career as a performing musician, and was a 1952 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Department of Fine Arts..
