Affirmed is a yearlong journey with positive words, thoughts and sayings for each day of this year. God has blessed me with the opportunity to meet and speak to hundreds of people in doing my coaching calls, public speaking engagements and networking events. One of the most common themes that I hear about in coaching and mentoring others is a lack of self-esteem specifically dealing with negative thoughts. I began to pray for the people who told me their stories of poor self-image and lack of confidence. As I prayed, God began to give me positive words to speak to others. He gave me, Affirmed. God wants you to know that he loves you. He thinks the world of you. So much that he gave his only begotten son for you. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." He does not want you to walk through life feeling less than. You will find the central theme of this book in the scripture Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." When you read and dwell on this scripture, you will begin to realize that there is no room for negativity in God's plan for your life. Believing this will change your mindset in a great way. He created you in his image and he wants you to flourish and be the best version of you. I pray that as you take this year long journey, you realize that negative thoughts and words do not come from God. I pray that you concern yourself with God's opinion of you, not what people say or think about you. As you read, take some time to write notes in the lines sections under each affirmation. I pray that you emerge from this journey just as God intended for you to, Affirmed.
