This work is a corollary of my earlier work 'the Dynamics of Spiral Planetary Motion'. The ice age, for that is what it really is, one mighty ice age, arose as a natural consequence of spiral planetary motion that governs the spin and orbital motion of Earth under the gravitational attraction of the Sun. The book contains graphics to more easily explain and understand the two distinct phases and steady decline of our lengthy ice age. The whole detailed history of man's quest to understand planetary motion from Johannes Kepler through Sir Isaac Newton to the present day is presented in two books, this book is, as part two.

The Author is a lifetime independent amateur freelance astronomer. He considers his education began when he left school and was to a great extent, self taught. Studious and fascinated from an early age with the motion of the planets about us. Now a widower, a family man with two sons and a daughter all closely knit. Other subjects of his interest include Mechanics, Physics - Matter and Motion, History - political and natural, Anthropology, Art - poetry, music. His family life he regarded as a joy and it always came first.
