Sheree Fitch is the author of many children's books, several plays, and various works for adults. Awards for her writing include the Mr. Christie Book Award, the Hackmatack, the Silver Birch, and the Vicky Metcalf Award for a body of work inspiring to children. Sheree is the recipient of honourary doctorates from St. Mary's University, Acadia University, and St. Thomas University for her contribution to children's literature.
