Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Kevin Bird is Assistant-Superintendent in the Fraser-Cascade School District just outside Vancouver. Committed to helping teachers reach vulnerable students and school districts build better systems for supporting learning, Kevin, along with co-author Kirk Savage, speak regularly on teaching and learning practices, especially in the areas of literacy and numeracy. A former water-ski coach, Kevin spends his leisure time playing hockey, taking care of his wife's horses, mountain biking with his son, and driving his daughter to her gymnastics class. Dr. Kirk Savage is a former elementary and middle school principal, and is currently Assistant Superintendent with the Chilliwack School District. Committed to helping teachers reach vulnerable students and school districts build better systems for supporting learning, Kirk, along with co-author Kevin Bird, speak regularly on teaching and learning practices, especially in the areas of literacy and numeracy. Kirk is a four-time world champion in Ultimate Frisbee, a sport that he also played professionally with the Vancouver Nighthawks. He resides in Chilliwack with his wife and two children.
