This work is designed to identify, illustrate, and describe the complexity of grasps in a user-friendly manner. As a reference for faculty, clinicians, and students, the text covers development, precision, and power grasps as well as handwriting grasps for use in evaluation and treatment. The functional aspects of grasps, anatomical features, and interesting facts are highlighted in the chapter Functional Power and Precision Grasps. Each grasp is referenced and identified with photographs and descriptions. This work includes information on 48 grasps, taxonomy of the hand, structure of the hand, and how to observe the hand.
