Robert Viagas is a New York theatre journalist and author. He founded and managed news services for Playbill.com, Theatre.com, and Broadway Television Network, and currently serves as production editor of PLAYBILL.

Viagas was chosen by the original casts of two record-breaking hit musicals to tell their stories in books: The Amazing Story of "The Fantasticks" (with co-author Donald C. Farber) and On the Line: The Creation of "A Chorus Line" (both from Limelight Editions). He is the author or editor of a dozen theatre books, including The Playbill Broadway Yearbook series and The Alchemy of Theatre, both from Playbill Books, and I'm the Greatest Star: Broadway's Top Musical Legends from 1900 to Today (Applause), which was adapted as a stage revue that debuted at Hofstra University in July 2009. Viagas also served two years as a drama and dance columnist for Amazon.com.

As program director for PLAYBILL BROADCAST, he was chosen to create the first all-theatre Web radio station, PlaybillRadio.com. Viagas hosted the RADIO PLAYBILL magazine show on Sirius Satellite Radio from 2002 to 2006, hosted the weekly interview show Center Stage on PLAYBILL RADIO, and hosted the official live Webcast of the Tony Awards in 2000 and 2002-2006. He currently serves as editor of the special Tony Awards PLAYBILL.
Louis Botto is a senior contributor to PLAYBILL. He is a former senior editor of Look magazine, where he specialized in theatrical features and had a bylined column. As a graduate student in the Speech and Drama Department of Catholic University, he had a musical and a play---which won a Johns Hopkins Award---produced on campus. He has been a guest drama critic on NBC-TV's Eleven O'Clock News and has written articles for The New York Times Magazine, The Daily News Magazine, Ladies' Home Journal, Intellectual Digest, and many other publications. His vast collection of theatrical memorabilia has been exhibited at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and some of his vintage PLAYBILL programs are on display in the lobby of the Music Box Theatre on Broadway. The Broadway Theatre Institute honored Mr. Botto with its 1997 Award for Excellence in Theatre History Preservation.
