The Federal Aviation Administration is the government agency that regulates the aviation industry, pilot licensing, and airspace. Jackie Spanitz is the director of curriculum development for Aviation Supplies & Academics, Inc. She is the technical editor of the Test Prep series and the author of Commercial Pilot Syllabus, Guide to the Biennial Flight Review, Instrument Rating Syllabus, and Private Pilot Syllabus. She lives in Everett, Washington. Charles Robertson is a flight instructor, an associate professor, and a manager of training at University of North Dakota Aerospace. He lives in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
