Arnold Robbins, an Atlanta native now happily living in Israel, is a professional programmer and technical author. Arnold is the co-author of the second edition of O'Reilly's sed & awk, the sixth edition of Learning the vi Editor, and the third edition of Unix in a Nutshell. He has been working with UNIX systems since 1980, and currently maintains gawk (GNU awk) and its documentation.
