God has many ways to make a man, but His preferred method seems to be through resistance. The greater the resistance, the greater the growth. What you might see as obstacles to achievement, God sees as opportunities for growth.

The higher the mountain, the greater the reward.

Discover how eleven men of the Old Testament dealt with the same challenges you face today. Learn how they overcame the obstacles of life while pleasing God. And find out how you can apply their lessons to your own life and circumstances.

What readers are saying about A Man to Match the Mountain:

(This book) helped me overcome some big obstacles in my life and...really helped the Old Testament come alive... thanks to David Roper for allowing God to speak trough him.    --K.B.

I was deeply impressed by the practicality of this writing, and...especially (the author's) relating these Bible individuals and their lives to every day living that we all go through...There are times in my reading that I just sat back and let amazement flow over me, realizing once again the grace and mercy of God... Not only in what He gives, but His protection, His understanding, love--just plain "loving kindness."    --C.G.

David Roper does a great job of showing me some of the "men of God" of the Bible and how I can be transformed by God as they were. Consistently he points me back to the Bible.    --P.W.
