Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Dr. Rodney Badger was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. After serving a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brazil, he graduated from Stanford University with an Honors Degree in Latin American Studies. While at Stanford, he was elected Phi Beta Kappa and nominated as a Rhodes Scholar. Dr. Badger was awarded a Fellowship from the Ford Foundation and returned to Brazil to complete a thesis on health-care economics in Brazil.

After earning his Medical Degree at the University of California, San Diego, Dr. Badger completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Washington in Seattle. Specializing in Interventional Cardiology, he invented and holds the patent on a deflectable-tip guiding catheter developed for use in coronary angioplasty.

Dr. Badger currently lives in Provo, Utah, and is chairman of the Department of Cardiovascular disease at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. In addition to his professional practice, Dr. Badger serves on the Board of Directors for Deseret International, a humanitarian foundation headquartered in Provo, Utah, dedicated to providing health-care needs in numerous developing countries.

Dr. Badger is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been elected a Fellow by the American College of Cardiology.
