One of the most successful high school football coaches in the history of Texas, he currently is the head football coach at Mesa High School in Mesa, Arizona.D.W. Rutledge is the executive director of the Texas High School Coaches Association the largest association of its kind in the nation. Prior to assuming his present position in 2004, D.W. was one of the winningest coaches in Texas high school history. For his coaching achievements (which include winning four state championships), D.W. has been honored several times, including being inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame.
