As a philosophy professor specializing in social issues at Westchester University in Pennsylvania, she puts these increasingly common relationships in perspective. Narayan grew up in India, earning a B.A. in sociology and writing for IndiaÂ’s leading newspaper. In the U.S., she earned a Ph.D. in philosophy and has been published in the journal Social Philosophy Today.
