Inhaltsangabe

As the theory and practice of minimally intrusive medicine has spread, many procedures are becoming simple enough to perform in an office setting, rather than requiring hospitalization. Otolaryngologists, many of them at Emory University in Georgia, describe such procedures for treating the nose. Their topics include endoscopic anatomy for office-based rhinology procedures, patient selection and informed consent, nasal and sinus anesthesia for office procedures, treating post-endoscopic sinus surgery issues, managing septal pathologies, and evaluating and treating epiphora. The disk illustrates selected surgical procedures. Annotation ©2013 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
