After a lifetime of artistic study, which included classical training in the fine arts, Kim Taylor Reece discovered the hula and became enchanted. While trying to capture the subtleties of this ancient dance, Kim turned most often to the contemporary art of black-and-white photography, and determined that only through this medium, with its exclusive concentrations of light and dark, could the passion of hula be honored and preserved.
