In his seventeen year airline career Sid Davis made his coworkers laugh with a profound sense of humor.

Recognizing Davis’ piercing wit and flair as a natural storyteller, friends and co-workers pushed Davis to pen a story. This novel, released in January 2006, grew from Davis’ "Space Available" screenplay, which finished in the top 250 scripts (out of nearly 8,000 submissions) in HBO’s 2003 Project Greenlight contest for aspiring screenwriters.

As a member of Toastmasters International, the well-known international communications organization, Davis has won numerous statewide (North Carolina) humorous speaking contests. He also does stand-up comedy and conducts humor workshops.
