Inhaltsangabe

Delivered in the context of the current war in Iraq, this recording of a lecture and discussion from a master historian focuses on several instances of civil disobedience in response to wars in U.S. history, offering models, ideas, and inspirations concerning the reasons and ways to challenge and change the structure of power. In this wake-up call to concerned citizens across the globe, the premise that knowledge of history can only aid in analyzing the present and the future is a central theme, and many questions are posed, such as What are citizens to do when confronted by unjust laws that embroil them in unjust wars?
