Author Michael Omolewa is a distinguished professor of Adult Education with specialization in literacy. Omolewa's credits include serving on the team, preparing the working document for the United Nations Literacy Decade, winning Honorable Mention of the UNESCO Malcolm Adiseshiah Literacy award in 1999, and heading the Department of Adult Education at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria (which was the first university in Africa to win the much coveted UNESCO Literacy award in 1989.) A committed Christian minister, Michael serves on the Board of Trustees of Babcock University in Nigeria and the Governing Council of Christ the Redeemer College in London, UK.
