James R. Acker is a Distinguished Teaching Professor in the School of Criminal Justice at the University at Albany, SUNY. Robert Bohm is a Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies at University of Central Florida. Charles Lanier is President of Lanier Consulting & Research, Inc. Among other things, Lanier conducts mitigation investigations in death penalty cases, on both the state and federal levels.
