When I started to write this book, I had no idea where this journey would take me. After all, I had been on a journey already, with waiting for my Daddy to come home from the war. I have to tell you that waiting to see him for a whole year is an incredibly long time! I always knew that I wasn't the only one going through this, and that more kids in the future would have this same experience too. So I set out to write my story, and added a few things along the way that I thought other kids could use to pass the time while their parent was gone during a long deployment. There is an interactive section in this book, where you can actually write in it! That's right; you can write a part of your own history! I did it and you can too!
