In the early 20th Century, German educators Dr. H. Steiglitz and Rev. Michael Gatterer, S.J. developed a method of teaching the Catechism to children inspired by Our Lord's teaching in parables. This method, which came to be known as The Munich Method, was brought to the United States through the work of Rev.
