Packed with impossible possibilities, Back Again brings Wendy Halstad back to life to kick some sense into all of humanity.

Wendy Halstad died of a massive heart attack . . . just mixing some chocolate-chip cookie dough, and . . . kerplop. Three years later, her husband, Michael finds her leaning on his car after work. “Hey sailor, can a girl get a ride home?”

And with that, an amazing, exciting, funny, and touching year of “trying to knock some sense into the stagnant human intellect” begins. At one point, Wendy explains, “Babe, I’m not here on a green card. I’m not a permanent resident.” But boy, do she and Michael make the best use of her time back.

Full of wry humor, Back Again will encourage you to ponder Wendy’s frustration: are humans getting smarter, or have our brains stalled in neutral? Wendy Halstad appears to be the unknowing, unwitting catalyst to us humans upping our game.

About the Author… Jamie Stoudt grew up in Jamestown, North Dakota, and graduated from the University of North Dakota. His career has included owning and managing a Ford dealership, directing client services for a tech company, renovating homes as a licensed contractor, and serving as CEO, CFO, president, and cook for Lefse By Lars, a concession-wagon enterprise he was convinced would make him rich.

Jamie owns the trophy for most times upside down in a season at the Jamestown Speedway and works at extending his record of most things dropped out the back of a pickup. He’s been thrown from horses, cows, motorcycles, motor scooters, and one bar. He occasionally plays trombone in a jazz band and even does some vocals when the real singer is ill, in surgery, or in jail. He also enjoys working on and driving old cars and lives by the motto “Never drive farther than you’re willing to walk.”

Jamie lives in Stillwater, Minnesota, and within five miles of his son, daughter, and seven grandchildren.
