Inhaltsangabe

Emmet is a good boy who always stays home. Alone. Until the day his people stayed home with him. And kept staying. Emmet watches them work from home, clap for the nurses and have their schedules canceled.

See the quarantine through a pet's eyes, as Emmet explains what his people do during a time of uncertainty in a way that young readers can grasp.
Will his people keep staying home or will Emmet go back to his days in his kennel ... alone?

The story introduces new vocabulary in a safe way to children and assures them it's not as scary as it seems. With simple, engaging, illustrations and a relatable character, this book will give parents and grandparents the tools to comfort little ones in confusing times.
Kids will wonder what their own pets may be thinking and parents can use this resource to open up a dialogue about questions and concerns with their children.

The love Emmet has for his people will steal your heart!

Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Katie Byrd is a wife and a mother of three children, three dogs, a cat and a rabbit. She is also a graphic design teacher, a pilot, and an author. This book was born during quarantine, a time of chaos, confusion and more time at home than she has experienced in twenty years. When she's not teaching, flying, or writing, she is spending time with her family, which includes her biggest fan, Emmet.

Nhan Le, originally from Vietnam, moved to the United States when he was eight years old. His passion for drawing has now led him to pursue a B.A. in Graphic Design at Young Harris College. In his free time he likes to go to the beach, go fishing, and play with puppies.
