The former aerospace engineer turned sports photojournalist spent most of his leisure life coaching young children in their sport of choice be it youth football and baseball, girls' softball, swimming, and wheelchair and Special Olympic tennis. An anthology of his poems capturing precious moments during a sports season are cherished by former players and their parents.
