When Mr. McPherson walks up Ruth Wallace's steps, he realizes something is wrong. Mrs. Wallace's dog, Sadie, is barking much more than normal. He looks in and sees that Mrs. Wallace has fallen. While she goes to the hospital, someone must take care of Sadie, and Mr. McPherson agrees to look after her. He lives alone and has never had a dog before, but very soon the two of them get used to each other and form a small family. What will they do when it's time to say goodbye and Sadie has to go back to Mrs. Wallace? In this children's story, a mailman helps take care of a dog with a hurt owner and discovers that he needs the love of a dog in his life.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Joyce Bunch retired in 2016 from teaching English in public schools and from selling and appraising real estate with her husband, David. After unexpectedly finding herself a widow, she began caring for her granddaughter Madisyn. At a friend's suggestion, the two of them wrote a book together, starting a storytelling tradition that continues to this day. She currently lives in Huntington, WV.
