Sadiku studied nursing science from 1975 to 1980 at the University of Ife, now known as Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. She has worked as a nurse, educator, and church minister in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and Canada. She is presently retired with her husband in West Palm Beach, Florida.
