Born in Asheville, North Carolina, Mike was raised in the small township of Candler in beautiful Hominy Valley.
Mike accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of seven while attending Mt.Pisgah Baptist Church. At the age of fourteen he began traveling and sharing the Gospel message through song.
Mike met his wife Cathy after singing at her home church in Surgoinsville, TN. The two married in 1984 and began ministering together sharing the Gospel through song, personal testimony and preaching.
In addition to being an avid Bible student, teacher and Preacher of the Gospel, other interests include cycling, hiking, astrophotography and woodworking.
Mike and Cathy have been married for 38 years and are the proud parents of two sons. They are blessed with two lovely daughter-In-laws, and have four wonderful grandchildren.
In 2015, Mike accepted the call to Pastor Heartsway Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee where he is privileged to serve.
