Inhaltsangabe

My Daily Devotion - Scripture Reading, Meditation, & Prayer is a simple journal to help Christians with their daily quiet times. One of the most basic creeds or mottos of the Christian life is to know God and to make Him known. The best way that we have been given to know God is through His Word found in the Bible. Devout Christians throughout the ages can testify to the transformative power of reading the Scriptures daily. Another way to know God is through prayer. Jesus, in teaching His disciples the Lord’s Prayer, assumes that they are to pray. He says to them, "when you pray..." Finally, meditating on Scripture is a sure way to hide God’s Word in our hearts.

The cover of this journal features a nice oxford blue with a beautiful mountain scene, perfect for a men's prayer or devotional journal.

How to Use This Journal:
  1. Date/Time: Set aside a common place and time.
  2. Say a quick prayer asking God to help you understand what you are reading.
  3. Bible Passage: Read a passage of Scripture (see resource link below for reading plans) and record what you read.
  4. Key Verse: Copy a key verse or two from the passage you read. This can be one or two verses that are either the main point of the passage or which had a significant impact on you.
  5. Meditation: Try asking questions of the passage. How does this verse point to Christ? How does this verse apply to modern living? How can I obey the commands in this verse? What is something new that I have never noticed before in this passage? How is the Gospel portrayed in this passage?
  6. Prayer: Spend time in prayer. Write down any specific prayer requests you have. Write down any answered prayers. Try incorporating the passage of Scripture you just read into your prayers.
Pro Tip: the Psalms are really great for this!
