The Lost Princess is a story of more than just epic fantasy, though fantastical elements abound. It is even more so about friendships, dealing with difficult/abusive relationships, family expectations, choosing what is best for ourselves, and forgiving those who hurt us to name a few. I have tried to create a story that takes the reader not just on a journey through the world I created but on a journey of self. What do you lack or what have you struggled within your life? It needn’t be big nor small. We have all walked a path we’ve found difficult at times. Many of the things that happened to Amara have happened to me. Perhaps not quite as dramatic but I was still deeply hurt and full of anger and sadness at one time. So much so that I would have at one point wished myself dead and gone. And even now I still struggle with the Amara in me. But just as Amara will grow on her journey, I have also grown and healed on mine. So please as you read of Amara and her friends' struggles and triumphs, remember. You are not alone. All is not lost.
