Author and editor Karen Latchana Kenney has written many books for children and young adults. She's interested in all kinds of science subjects, from car science to the life cycle of spiders. Kenney lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her husband and young son.

Mark Oblinger is an award-winning songwriter, composer, producer, and performer. He cowrote and produced the Grammy-nominated children's jazz symphony JumpinJazz Kids: A Swinging Jungle Tale and has won five Heartland Emmy Awards for his work as a composer/producer for the PBS children's show The Big Green Rabbit and the short films Yesterday's Zoo and The Sea I See.
