The GoldSim Contaminant Transport (CT) Module is an add-on extension to the GoldSim simulation software framework that allows you to dynamically model mass transport processes within complex engineered and/or natural environmental systems. By using the Contaminant Transport Module to predict concentrations and fluxes at various locations in an environmental system, you can apply GoldSim to a wide variety of environmental problems, such as investigation of the transport and fate of contaminants (or natural components) in aquifers, wetlands, lakes and other complex ecosystems; evaluation of the performance of existing or proposed landfills, hazardous waste sites and engineered disposal facilities; and simulation of the transport and fate of pharmaceuticals and other compounds within biological systems (e.g., physiologically-based pharmacokinetic modeling).

The GoldSim Technology Group is a privately held software company dedicated to delivering software and services to help people understand complex systems and make better decisions. The combination of our diverse technical and business backgrounds, our extensive experience in modeling complex systems, and our ability to continuously enhance our state-of-the-art simulation tools allow us to efficiently solve difficult problems that cannot be readily addressed by others. Our flagship GoldSim software package is based on technology developed over a period of over 25 years. GoldSim has been used by and/or for a diverse set of customers and clients, including government agencies in over 10 countries (such as the US Department of Energy, NASA, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the Public Health Agency of Canada and the International Atomic Energy Agency), research laboratories (including Sandia National Laboratories, Los Alamos National Laboratory, the Paul Scherrer Institute, and the Southwest Research Institute), and commercial organizations worldwide (including Bechtel, BHP Billiton, Caterpillar, Jacobs, ConocoPhillips and Rio Tinto). The company’s history is in the civil and environmental engineering arena, but GoldSim was designed from the ground up as a general-purpose, probabilistic simulation framework. As a result, the software is now being used in a wide variety of applications, ranging from long-term business planning for manufacturing companies to operational models of mines and power plants. GoldSim currently has thousands of users around the world (including nearly 200 academic institutions in 40 countries), and our user-base continues to grow. The software is very actively developed, and continues to evolve in response to customer's needs.
