In this thesis, a microwave hybrid heating is used for melting the lead powder with the help of a microwave. The microwave used in this work, was a domestic microwave and the moulds were fabricated on a graphite block. In these moulds the lead powder was filled and then mould was placed into the microwave for melting the lead powder. On these moulds the green silicon carbide was placed to assist in melting process. The green silicon carbide was used for absorbing the microwave radiation and providing the heat to the powder. Depth of the moulds which were fabricated on the graphite block was 1mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, and 5mm. A star shape was also fabricated whose depth was 1mm. The properties of the powder were analyzed with the help of XR-D, and the structure image was attained with EDX. It was observed that the surface roughness of all the fabricated specimens improved, and their tensile strength and hardness was enhanced.
