The book also contains the prompt books to three forgotten "Chicago-style" comic operas: the Burgomaster, the Royal Chef and the Sho-Gun. The Burgomaster was the first produced and set the standard for the next decade. The Sho-Gun was the second comic opera by George Ade and some critics felt it was his best.
