Inhaltsangabe

At the Edge of the Cities Burning reveals a Catholic laywomen's understanding of and intimacy with God. Yet, there is no sugarcoating in her vision, as she portrays an ailing world. Violence, the crisis of climate change prompt uncertainty and cast shadows on daily life. This long poem chronicles current issues and event as well as the glory of a triune God. Mattie McClane is a graduate of Augustana College, BA, the University of Louisville, MA, and the University of North Carolina, MFA in Creative Writing. She is the author of twelve books which include seven books of poetry. She focuses on the book-length poem. At the Edge of the Cities Burning might be her most powerful book to date.
