Sharon Clymer Landis is a writer, poet, and spiritual director. Known for her simplicity, gentle wisdom, compassion, and love of stories, Sharon is also an avid reader, learner, seeker, a lover of God, contemplative spirituality, expressive arts, nature, children and dogs. She has been writing, reading and telling stories her whole life, first to entertain younger siblings and then to find meaning and make sense of her world. She believes stories bring healing, humor and move humanity toward greater compassion and wholeness. Nothing gives her greater joy than a child or adult sitting spellbound by a good story. Sharon lives on a farm in northern Virginia with her family and beloved dogs, a place where her grandchildren feel free and safe.

Mason Hotter is an artist, who from childhood on combined his love for both animals and drawing, and dreamed of illustrating children's books. He owned, trained, and loved several wonderfully smart and devoted Australian Cattle Dogs, winning herding trials and obedience titles together. He was a columnist in the AKC Gazette for the Australian Cattle Dog Club of America. Capturing cowdogs and their antics in whimsical drawings as well as serious portraits, his artwork is enjoyed by cattle dog enthusiasts everywhere. Mason lives in south-central Pennsylvania, surrounded by his beloved border collies and sheep.
