Julian Mithra is the winner of the first annual WTAW Alcove Chapbook Series Competition. They hover between genders and genres, border-mongering and -mongreling. They are the author of Unearthingly (KERNPUNKT, 2022) , an experimental archive that excavates forgotten spaces and inhabits caverns; and of KALEIDOSCOPE (Ethel Press, 2021) that flexes transembodiment against alphabetic constraints in a handsewn chapbook; and of If the Color Is Fugitive (Nomadic Press, 2018). For an MA in Folklore, they dressed up like a 19th century anthropologist and ventriloquized through a copper pipe. They peregrinate around the Bay Area, sniffing rocks and touching paper.
