Darius, a wild mustang, grew up on the great American plains. His peaceful life is suddenly over when he is captured and forced to live in stock pens, only to be sold and loved by a young girl and then turned into a rodeo bucking horse.
But even in the darkest places, there is always hope. Darius learns that lesson when he meets Earl, a Lakota Sioux Native American.
Can Earl really help him?
Into the Wind is an exciting story about self-discovery and growing up on the great American plains. If you like books that include action, warmth, and horses, then you will love this book by author Susan Metcalfe Honneus.

Susan Metcalfe Honneus is an artist whose love of horses began at an early age. Summers were spent at her grandparents' farm with her very first horse, a wonderful bay Morgan named Ginger. Since then, Susan has had many horses in her care. She loved them all - their inquisitive personalities, as well as their mischievous traits. Having developed a lifelong interest in the natural world around her, she enjoys drawing birds, horses, and people's pets. Check out her web page, www.meadowbrookgallery.com. Susan graduated from Skidmore College with a B.A. degree in Art and Art History. She is an active sponsor of Return to Freedom, the American Wild Horse Campaign, and a member of the Guild of Berkshire Artists. She is married and lives with her husband, David, on her grandparents' farm where her horses run free in the pasture. Passionate about the welfare of the wild horses out West, she wanted to bring a story about a wild mustang to life. "Into the Wind" is her first book.
