Following 'hot' on the heels of his book A Question of Arson, Vietnam veteran and retired lawyer, Colin O'Neill takes his readers deeper into the murky minds of those who solve their issues using fire as a weapon.
Every night on the news we are seeing an increasing number of reports and stories of incidences of arson destroying private and public property, but what are the motives behind these actions?
With statistics released in October 2025 showing a 68 per cent increase in arson in Victoria, thanks to the tobacco wars alone, it has become a situation our government leaders can no longer ignore but what are they doing about it?
O'Neill reveals many of the motives behind these destructive actions, uncovering a world of revenge, insurance scams, the chop chop wars, terrorism and the list goes on. He also gives specific cases where he asks the reader to be judge and jury.
With detailed research and evidence provided, this book is a must read for anyone wanting to understand what is going on in our communities as we witness the ever-increasing destruction of property and lives by arson.
There is also a Rogues Gallery listed at the back, where O'Neill provides the names of some of our most prolific arsonists and other criminals, many you may recognise from news reports.
Another riveting read from the author of From Vietnam Nasho to Catching School Crooks, The April Fool's Day Lawyer, A Question of Murder Down Under and A Question of Arson.
