Hamzeh Roumani (PhD, Illinois) is a professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at York University in Toronto, Canada. He is the recipient of numerous awards including the 3M Fellowship, the highest and most prestigious recognition of teaching excellence in Canada. Roumani's teaching philosophy is founded on the separation of abstraction levels; the "what" and the "how" never mix and one must learn to drive before looking under the hood.
