Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

After studying English at university, debut author Lloyd James decided to turn his hand to writing (whilst eating his favourite meal of beans on toast with a cold glass of milk). Alongside writing and collecting original book illustrations, Lloyd is a huge football fan and is never seen without his lucky Manchester Utd socks on match day. The Mighty Splash is Lloyd's first picture book, and what a splash it's making!

Barbara grew up on a suburb of Budapest, next to a little forest, and can't remember a time when she wasn't drawing. She graduated as an animation director at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest and started her career as an art director, character and background designer for the television and film industry. Barbara has a big passion for creating worlds with her characters and is now working as a full-time children's book illustrator.
