Offers an original, new argument about the politics of terrorism, especially post-9/11 "new terrorism;" Provides a truly global methodological framework — weaving, for instance, poetry, imagination, and International Relations together — in a way that connects the "small place" to the larger world; and Employing an interdisciplinary perspective, it elevates anthropology’s public role to account for the real and the true alike; in so doing, it demonstrates how to decolonize knowledge.
